Friends Came

0731-party.JPG

Two fellow students of JAIMS, T and M, came to San Francisco this weekend.

They are working in San Jose, about 1 hour from here by car. We met in the evening and went to Japantown for dinner. We ate at a Japanese-Western restaurant. I mean, we ate at the restaurant which served Western food cooked in Japanese style. We enjoyed supageti and hanbaagu, rather than spaghetti and hamburger steak. Few American know that we love such Japanese-Western food. After dinner, we went to Japanese-Western bar.

I asked them their impression of San Francisco. I was sorry that they did not find San Francisco as a great city. Here, it is always cool and cloudy, as if located somewhere else than in California. But in San Jose, it is always warm and fine. They also seemed to be impressed by many homeless people nearby. Anyway, I like San Francisco. This is a very good place for cycling. We also talked about our internship. It was nice to find that they were enjoying their work.

They stayed in my room that night. My room was so jam-packed that it was hard to sleep. As a result, we were all sleepy in the next morning.

I also have other news. I bought a new bike. I tried a new trick to discourage thieves. I like to write about it tomorrow.
