BJT: Business Japanese Proficiency Test at JAIMS

November 21, 2010

JAIMS will accept registrations beginning on August 10, 2010 for the Business Japanese Test (BJT) that will be held in November 2010.

The BJT measures a person’s Japanese language proficiency required for communicating in business settings.  Formerly administered by JETRO (since 1996), the test is now administered by the Japan Kanji Aptitude Testing Foundation.  JAIMS has been designated as the only BJT test center in the United States.  Anyone -- native and non-native speakers of Japanese -- may register for the BJT.

According to a statement on August 1 by the Japan Kanji Aptitude Testing Foundation, 2010 is the last year the BJT will be offered.
