The BJT measures a person’s Japanese language proficiency required for communicating in business settings.  Formerly administered by JETRO (since 1996), the test is now administered by the Japan Kanji Aptitude Testing Foundation.  JAIMS has been designated as the only BJT test center in the United States.  Anyone -- native and non-native speakers of Japanese -- may register for the BJT.

REGISTRATION: Applications will be accepted beginning August 9, 2011.  Download, complete and submit Registration Form (PDF) with payment.
 
TEST FEE: $70 (check or money order).  Please do not mail cash.  A $10 fee is assessed for returned checks (insufficient funds).
 
REGISTRATION DEADLINE: October 1, 2011 (application materials must be received by JAIMS by this date).
