President Miyataki Lectures at De La Salle University
JAIMS President Glenn Miyataki,
Ph.D. recently presented a lecture
series hosted by De La Salle University Professional Schools, Inc. – Graduate
School of Business in Manila.
Dr. Miyataki’s lecture series, entitled “Cross-Cultural
Management: Trends and Issues in Business Practices”, focused
on the importance of understanding cultural differences when doing
business with foreign countries. Issues such as parochialism, ethnocentrism,
and stereotyping were addressed, along with the intricacies of
workplace behavior, communications, ethics, and relationships.
Dr. Miyataki is an internationally-known authority on global management
who has lectured at Management Institutes and Universities in China,
Germany, France, the Philippines, Singapore, and Turkey.
