VP Odo Named Practitioner Professor at University
of Tsukuba
HONOLULU - On April 16, 2005, the University of Tsukuba appointed
Blair M.T. Odo,
JAIMS vice president for Academic Affairs, as a special practitioner
professor of International Affairs. While continuing to serve full-time
as JAIMS vice president, Odo will be responsible for the U.S. and
China internships, and the orientation week experience in Honolulu
for Tsukuba's
new MBA-International Business Program.
"Dr. Odo's appointment is quite an honor for her and for JAIMS,"
said JAIMS President Glenn Miyataki. "She has much experience
and expertise in intercultural education to contribute to Tsukuba's
new program. Her appointment will also serve to enhance the relationship
that JAIMS enjoys with the University of Tsukuba School of Business
Sciences."
As JAIMS vice president for Academic Affairs, Odo is involved in
strategic planning and policy making. She oversees academic programs
and services, is responsible for program development, and manages
internships. She is also responsible for student and alumni affairs.
Odo joined JAIMS in 1988.
