VP Odo Named Practitioner Professor at University of Tsukuba

June 15, 2005

HONOLULU - On April 16, 2005, the University of Tsukuba appointed Blair M.T. Odo, JAIMS vice president for Academic Affairs, as a special practitioner professor of International Affairs. While continuing to serve full-time as JAIMS vice president, Odo will be responsible for the U.S. and China internships, and the orientation week experience in Honolulu for Tsukuba's new MBA-International Business Program.

"Dr. Odo's appointment is quite an honor for her and for JAIMS," said JAIMS President Glenn Miyataki. "She has much experience and expertise in intercultural education to contribute to Tsukuba's new program. Her appointment will also serve to enhance the relationship that JAIMS enjoys with the University of Tsukuba School of Business Sciences."

As JAIMS vice president for Academic Affairs, Odo is involved in strategic planning and policy making. She oversees academic programs and services, is responsible for program development, and manages internships. She is also responsible for student and alumni affairs. Odo joined JAIMS in 1988.
