| JAIMS Welcomes New
Staff Member, Charlotte Wesley-Musonda
HONOLULU On April 1, JAIMS gave a warm
aloha to welcome Charlotte Wesley-Musonda, its new admissions officer
and academic services manager.
"She brings to JAIMS the kinds of knowledge,
experiences, skills and values that we feel meet the unique needs
of our institute and our participants," said Dr. Blair Odo,
vice president for academic affairs, "We are very fortunate
to have her onboard here at JAIMS."
Prior to relocating to Honolulu, Wesley-Musonda
served as program coordinator at Rutgers University. She coordinated
the EJB-KDI Scholars Program, a graduate-level exchange program
with the KDI School of Public Policy and Management in Seoul. She
also administered the Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program, a Fulbright
exchange program for foreign mid-career professionals.
Wesley-Musonda joined Rutgers after serving
as corporate planning assistant to the president of Sumitomo Electric
U.S.A in New York.
She obtained her bachelor's degree in Japanese
language literature from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst,
spent a year at the University of Nairobi, Kenya as a study abroad
student, and worked in Akita, Japan on the JET program for 4 years.
