Fall 2001 Graduation
HONOLULU —
On January 10, 2002, the latest Intercultural
Management Program (ICMP) class graduated before an audience
of JAIMS staff, host families, and friends. Thirty-three students
of the Fall 2001 ICMP received their certificates of completion
after four months of intense study.
Also presented were awards to students
who displayed exemplary leadership and business skills. The Business
Plan Competition Award was presented to Takayuki Uzawa who also
shared the Francis A. Wong Award for Leadership with Duc
Xuan Nguyen. Nguyen, himself, was also honored with the Funika Scholarship.
The Business Research Competition Award was presented to the team
of Wataru Nammoku, Tomohiro Sato, Tomohiro Takahira, and Junko Watanabe.
Yin Shan (Vikki) Kong was voted for by her peers to win the Student°s
Choice Award.
Graduates who have opted for the
Business
Exchange Program (BEP) will continue on to internships with
American business firms or organizations in the U.S. for two months.
