JAIMS VP Blair Odo New Chair of Japanese Cultural
Center of Hawaii's Board of Directors
HONOLULU — JAIMS
Vice President for Academic Affairs Blair Odo has been named the
new chair of the Japanese Cultural Center of Hawaii Board of Directors
for the 2000-2001 term, effective July 1.
Odo, who joined JAIMS in 1988, has been
involved with the Cultural Center for about 10 years in several
capacities, including fundraising, programs, historical gallery
and as a board of director.
Actively involved in a number of professional,
charitable and civic organizations, Odo also serves on the boards
of Aloha United Way and Soroptimist International of Honolulu. In
1997 she was selected—along with more than 100 other women
leaders from across the country—to participate in Leadership
America, the only nationwide leadership program for women of achievement.
