ICMP 2000 Spring Class Begins New Term
HONOLULU — JAIMS welcomed
a new group of eager students to its 2000 Spring Intercultural
Management Program this week. The class of 26 represents six
countries Japan, Korea, Cambodia, India, Philippines and
France.
Five of these students had arrived in Hawaii
earlier for a two-week workshop on cross-cultural competency, conducted
by ICMP instructor Larry Smith. And for the first timeas
part of the exchange program with
Reims Management School in Franceone
French student is participating in ICMP. In the 1999 Fall program,
three participants had chosen Reims' International Management Programme
as their study option after completing the four-month ICMP coursework
in Honolulu.
All the students bring with them diverse work
experiences from varied industries, including computer systems development,
oil and petroleum, translation, travel, tourism and international
relations, hotel and restaurant consulting, manufacturing, pharmaceutical
sales, real estate and engineering.
