Biography

Tim has over 28 years of corporate experience, including 24 years with Fortune 10 company Verizon Communications.  In his last ten years with Verizon, he was involved in the international arena and managed telecommunication carriers in the Asia Pacific region, spanning from Japan to India, and China to Australia, as well as their US subsidiaries.  He has extensive experience in business development, marketing, sales, negotiation, competitive analyses, strategic plan development, product management, pricing, business research, and forecasting.  Between 1998 and 2001, Tim led Verizon’s efforts in expanding to Asia, including setting up and managing Verizon’s wholesale operations in Tokyo, Japan, and in participating in an IPO project to provide telecommunication services between Hong Kong and China.  He has also worked on consulting projects in Taiwan and Korea.  His work has won several Verizon corporate wide national leadership and achievement awards.

He joined American Savings Bank in April 2007 and is responsible in managing a team of business relations managers in sales and marketing of banking services targeting small businesses in Hawaii.

Tim obtained a Bachelor of Arts in mathematics and a Masters in Business Administration in finance and international business, both from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
