TheBus is
Hawaii's public transportation system and runs island-wide every
day. Individual rides are $2.00 (exact change is necessary); monthly
bus passes (unlimited rides each month) may be purchased for $40
at all 7-Eleven, Foodland, and Satellite City Hall locations. A visitor pass may also be purchased from all ABC stores for $20;
the passes are good for four consecutive days of unlimited use.
Bus schedules are also
available
at all
Satellite City Halls. For information

TheBus Directions
For reference, directions for
TheBus route between Waikiki and JAIMS are
as follows:
| Westbound
(from JAIMS to Waikiki):
- Wait at the bus stop on Pepeekeo Street,
across the 7-Eleven Store.
- Catch Bus #1.
- Deposit the $2.00 bus fare and ask
the bus driver for a transfer ticket.
- Exit Bus #1 at Kahala Mall.
- Walk back toward the traffic signal
at the intersection of Kilauea and Waialae Avenues.
- Cross Waialae Avenue and walk toward
Kahala Mall under the H-1 Freeway overpass.
- Wait at the bus stop on Kilauea Avenue,
in front of the Macy's Men's Store.
- Catch Bus #23. See route map
and timetable.
- Give the transfer ticket to the bus
driver when entering the bus.
- Ask the bus driver to announce the
bus stop nearest to your hotel.

Eastbound
(from Waikiki to JAIMS):
- Wait at the bus stop to catch
Bus #23 "Hawaii Kai." See route map
and timetable.
- Deposit the $2.00 bus fare and ask
the bus driver for a transfer ticket.
- Ask the bus driver to announce the
bus stop at Kahala Mall.
- Exit Bus #23 at Kahala Mall (in front
of the gas station, across from the Macy's Men's Store).
- Walk toward the traffic signal at the
intersection of Kilauea and Waialae Avenues.
- Cross Kilauea Avenue and walk toward
the parking lot of Kahala Mall.
- Wait at the bus stop on Waialae Avenue,
under the H-1 Freeway overpass.
- Catch Bus #1 Hawaii Kai Drive
(do NOT catch any other #1 bus).
- Give the transfer ticket to the bus
driver.
- Ask the bus driver to announce the
bus stop next to the 7-Eleven Store on Pepeekeo Street in
Hawaii Kai.
