Curriculum
Enhancing your effectiveness and integrity as a global business person and knowledge leader is our main goal. The EWKLP curriculum offers a holistic, multidisciplinary approach to managing issues pertinent to today’s business environment. Based on Peter Drucker's assertion that "management is a liberal art," the program features a liberal arts component including lectures and field study experiences related to history, philosophy, culture, religion, and cultural anthropology. The curriculum will challenge you to integrate theory and practice, and will provide you with a broad foundation for innovative thinking. EWKLP courses will equip you with the knowledge necessary to make a difference. Most courses will be delivered in one week. Classes will be generally scheduled in the mornings, with the afternoons set aside for group and individual assignments. To fulfill
the requirements of EWKLP
and receive a Graduate Diploma, all participants must complete
the program with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0, and all courses completed with a C or better. Courses
are listed below. Knowledge-based Management and Innovation: Appreciation for the knowledge-creating process and its impact on creativity and innovation for competitive positioning. Strategy Management: Analysis of strategy formulation by firms for competing in the global economic environment. Corporate Finance and Capital Markets: Understanding capital market and financial institutions and other global financing mechanisms. Academic Regulations
Grades and Academic Standards

| B | 3 | Good |
| C | 2 | Average |
| D | 1 | Below Average |

The grades for all courses are used to calculate the cumulative grade point average (GPA) at the end of the program. The GPA is computed by dividing the total grade points by the total credit hours earned. You must have a minimum 3.0 GPA in order to receive the Graduate Diploma.
Graduate Diploma
JAIMS awards a Graduate Diploma when the requirements of the EWKLP are successfully fulfilled with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, and all courses completed with a C or better.
Honors and Awards
A Graduate Diploma with Highest Distinction is awarded to students who complete the EWKLP with a cumulative GPA of 4.0. A Graduate Dilpoma with High Distinction is awarded to those with a cumulative GPA of 3.8 or higher.
The Senator Francis A. Wong Leadership Award is given on the basis of "promising entrepreneurial skills, high ethical standards, and a consistent respect for ethical behavior as evidenced by demonstrative initiative and leadership qualities during his/her attendance as a student of JAIMS."
The Students' Choice Award is presented to the student selected by classmates based on criteria determined by class members. The recipient gives the EWKLP class speech during the Closing Ceremony.
Study Option
JAIMS offers a study option prior to the EWKLP for students to enhance their own communication styles.
Increasing
Competencies for International Communication (IC2)
Program
The optional four-week Increasing Competencies for International Communication (IC2) program is ideal for those who want to develop a greater appreciation for and confidence in their own communication style. The IC2 program focuses on English as an International Language (EIL). Students gain a deeper knowledge of how English is used around the world and gain confidence while learning how to successfully represent themselves in English in informal and formal situations.
A Critical Reading and Writing Essentials course will teach students how to read critically, and how to write clearly and concisely, while a course entitles Art of Persuasion will challenge students to think critically, ask the "right" questions, and communicate persuasively.
The $3,000 tuition for the IC2 does not include travel, living or other expenses incurred by the student during the program. Admission requirements for the program are the same as for the EWKLP.
