JAIMS offers a study option prior to the EWKLP for students to enhance their own communication styles.
Increasing
Competencies for International Communication
(IC2)
Program
The optional four-week Increasing Competencies for International Communication (IC2) program is ideal for those who want to develop a greater appreciation for and confidence in their own communication style. The IC2 program focuses on English as an International Language (EIL). Students gain a deeper knowledge of how English is used around the world and gain confidence while learning how to successfully represent themselves in English in informal and formal situations.
A Critical Reading and Writing Essentials course will teach students how to read critically, and how to write clearly and concisely, while a course entitles Art of Persuasion will challenge students to think critically, ask the "right" questions, and communicate persuasively.
The $3,000 tuition for the IC2 does not include travel, living or other expenses incurred by the student during the duration of the program. Admission requirements for the program are the same as for the EWKLP.
