Gregory and Junko (Kaneda) Ratte (JMP12 and AMP26) from New York vacationed in Hawaii with their four children—he's a partner with the NYC investment counsel firm of Brundage, Story and Rose ... Akiko Yamaguchi (ICMP97S) managed to squeak in some vacation time before she began her new job at Microsoft K.K. in July ... Junichiro Suita (AMP35), on holiday from SAP Japan, dropped by with his wife, Hitomi, and two children ... Ki-Youl Suh (AMP38) visited in September after a trip to Luxembourg—he was recently promoted to deputy general manager of the international department of Kookmin Bank ... Kiyofumi Okamoto (ICMP96F), an architect with the Takenaka Corporation, visited with his wife, Hiroko, and two sons and brought pictures of the elegant condominiums that he designed next to Lake Biwa ... Weddings and other blessings

Daisuke Asai (AMP92F) and Yoshiko Tanaka were married in a July ceremony at historic Kawaiahao Church in Honolulu ... Eriko Kelly Yamanokuchi (ICMP97F) married Makoto Kawanaka at the Unity Church of Hawaii in October and they are now living in Los Angeles ... The JEM7 class was happy to celebrate the October marriage of Herminia Cruz and David Lu in the Philippines, with classmates Fermin Taruc, Wee Seng Chan, Judy See Kiat Gan, and Kar Shuen Wendy Chan as wedding sponsors. Hermie and David moved to the San Francisco Bay Area, where David is an internal auditor for Advanced Micro Devices ... Nobuhiro Takazawa (ICMP94F) and his wife Kana had a baby boy, Shogo, in May ... Tuomas Koljonen (JMP17) and his wife Maria were blessed with the birth of their baby girl, Katarina Isabella, in October ... JEM9 student Young-Kyung Kim and his wife Yun-Hee Cho welcomed the birth of their daughter, Ji-Hae (her Hawaiian nickname is Lani), in November.
