Shu Liang (JEMBA-10) organized the ChinaTech 2002 for Xingventure. The event was held on January 11-13, 2002 in Honolulu, USA. The purpose of the event was to provide a forum for IT executives from Western and Asian countries to exchange views and discuss development strategy. Speakers included China Telecom, China Mobile and China Unicom, etc.

Edward Lubis (JEMBA-4) currently works at PT Bahana Pembinaan Usaha Indonesia in Jakarta, Indonesia, a holding company that has several subsidiaries dealing with securities brokerage, investment banking, fund management and venture capital. Edward is an assistant vice president in the Risk Management Group overseeing risk aspects within the holding company and its subsidiaries.

Raymond Wong’s (JEMBA-8) company, NexLabs was among the Top 5 nominated for the Computerworld Catalyst Award. The award gives recognition to local companies that have developed innovative technologies and services and have backed these up with viable business plans. The award recognizes companies that have created the right formula for technological innovation. Computerworld is the most widely read magazine in the IT industry, and the selection for the awards was done by polls among its readers, which include IT decision makers and business leaders in the IT industry.
