Kosei Suenaga (AMP-73S): We are sorry to announce that Kosei, a member of the famous Aloha Rainbows class, passed away at the age of 61.
Haruko Ozeki (AMP-87F) is the Legal Director of Amazon Japan K. K.
Kazuhiko Ito (AMP-88F) has returned to Tokyo after living in Europe for seven years. He is General Manager of the automotive component manufacturer, Valeo Japan Co., Ltd. He and his wife Miyuki have two children, Thomas and Marina.
Kazuaki and Ikuko Kurihara (both
AMP-88F) continue to study English and raise their children Yosuki (15) and
Keiko (12). Kazuaki is a research fellow at Fujitsu Laboratories, Ltd.
Hirohiko Asakawa (AMP-90F) has been certified as a
Japan Quality Award Self-Assessor by the Japan Quality Award Council.
Toru Hanayama (AMP-90F) was recently assigned to the China Business
Division of Fujitsu working closely with Makoto Teshima, former
JAIMS and JJO staff.
Tetsuzo Nishimura (AMP-91F) is married to Hiroko
Nishimura and is a Sales Manager for Kautex Japan Corporation. They have
one daughter, Miki, who is 17 years old.
ICMP
Akio Takata (ICMP-94F) is a General
Manager for Mizuho Information & Research. In December,
2005, after 10 years of being away, he was able to fulfill his dream
of returning to Hawaii and visiting JAIMS again with his wife Etsuko,
and children Kohei (14), Yohei (10), and Mio (5).
Reiko Kurihara and Kenichi
Mizusawa (both ICMP 95F) visited JAIMS in the Spring of
2006.
Indunil Liyanage (ICMP-96F)
graduated with a Master of Science in Management from the University
of Sri Jayawardenepura, Sri Lanka on July 27, 2004.
Haruko Audia (formerly Haruko Yoshida,
ICMP-97S) and her husband Pat, are the proud parents of their baby
girl Christine Ayano Audia, born on April 27, 2005.
Mi Jeong (Grace) Hibbitts
(formerly Mi Jeong You, ICMP-97F) and her husband,
Karl Hibbitts welcomed their twins, Taegon Robert and Jaegon
William on March 19, 2004.
Kazuhiro Arai (ICMP-98S) was promoted
to Senior Marketing Executive for Marketing Strategy at Microsoft
Co., Ltd. in Tokyo. He and his wife Tomoko have one child,
Kaito.
Yoshiyuki and Mikako (Ogawa) Katsuyama (ICMP
98F) were married in November 2005 and visited JAIMS while honeymooning
in Hawaii.
Daisuke Kato and Jun (Saito) Kato (ICMP-99F)
were married in September 2005 in Tokyo. Daisuke works for
Curves Japan and Jun works for Omniture, Inc.
Joy Shao (ICMP-99F) is a Research
Analyst at Gartner Inc. in San Jose, California. She is interested
in getting together with any JAIMS alumni who are near the San Jose

Kanji Morishima (ICMP-00S) and his
wife Sawako received a very special gift at Christmas time in 2005: the
birth of their baby daughter Risako.
Nicolas de Chatellus (ICMP-00S) says
his JAIMS experience was wonderful and sends best wishes to JAIMS
for mixing people and cultures from all corners of the world. He
works for a consulting company, A.T. Kearney in Paris, and specializes
in the Aerospace and Defense sector.
Takashi Okazaki and Megumi Ono (both
ICMP-00S) first met at JAIMS and were married in Tokyo on April 10,
2005 under the full blossoms of the cherry trees!
Kumiko Nishikata (ICMP-00S) is currently living in
Tokyo and is in career-transition. She is thinking about moving
to Honolulu, and is seeking information on the art business in Hawaii. She
visited JAIMS with friend Reiko Minowa
Wako Sakurai (ICMP-00S)
has been promoted to vice president, General Manager
Accounting Group and IT Group for PFU Creative Service Limited.
Michiyo
Hata (ICMP-00F) visited JAIMS
at the same time as Satoshi
Shibata (ICMP-01S). Satoshi is the President of UD-Consulting,
Inc. with offices in Tokyo and Honolulu. He and wife, Kieko, have
three children: Natsuha, Suzuka, and Taiyo.
Pita Ponce-Pura (ICMP-00F) joined
PepsiCo, International (Philippines Office) as the Country HR Manager
in March. Because of the career move she is putting her academic
plans on hold for now, but plans to return to school in the near
future to earn her Ph.D.
Frederick Blancas (ICMP-02F) has a
son, Paolo (10), and daughter, Isabela (2). He is the Strategic
Planning and Marketing Communications Manager at Integrated Microelectronics
Inc. (IMI).
Masayuki Tsubaki and Yoshiko Nakabayashi (both
ICMP-02F) relived great memories during their return visit to JAIMS.Yoshiko
works at NTT Communications Corporation in Japan. Masayuki is the
Vice President, Business Planning, of Oxygenix Co., Ltd. in Tokyo.
Ivanhoe Bene (ICMP-03F) has joined the Korean
Embassy in Manila handling the provision of trade and investment
information to Koreans interested doing business in the Philippines.
Ken Hagiwara and Madoka Yuasa (both
ICMP-03F) were married in October 2005.
Dr. Blair Odo and 19 students (!) from the ICMP-03F class attended
their wedding reception in Tokyo.
Julia Koh (ICMP-03F) and Tae
Joon Lee (ICMP-04S) have earned their Project Management
Professional (PMP) certifications. TJ is
a Senior Engineer with Kotrell in Seoul. Tae Joon and Julia
enjoyed a night
out on the town in Korea with and Stephen and
JAIMS teacher Carolyn Yoshihara.
Rona Puntawe (ICMP-03F) and her husband
Yuri are happy together “down under” in Melbourne, Australia. They
were married in a medieval-themed ceremony on February 5th of this
year, and classmate Yoko Sumida flew there from Tokyo to be her bridesmaid.
Viet Dung (Dzung) Nguyen (ICMP-03F) was elected
to the People Commission of Hochiminh City in May 2004 and became
a member
of this body
for the term of 2004-2009 year. This body represents the political
power
of the people and decides all the policies for the social and
economic development of Hochiminh City.
Teerarat Siriratanasak (ICMP-03F), affectionately
known as Aey, joined Barclays Capital Securities (Thailand) as
finance
manager
of Global
Finance Division. She was formerly with Ernst & Young Corporate
Services as assistant manager.
Risa Sugiyama (ICMP-05F) give her
parents a grand tour of the JAIMS campus at the time of her graduation..
John Wong (ICMP-05S) is a Conference Producer for
Marcus Evans in Malaysia. He is in the “Congress” team
that produces events in Southeast Asia

Bharath Ram (JEMBA 93-94) and his
wife Rashmi are thrilled to announce the birth of their daughter
Jayni Ram who was born in February 2005 in Palo Alto California.
Neeraj Jhanji (JEMBA 94-95) is President & CEO
of ImaHima Inc., an interactive entertainment company offering digital
contents and services on mobile phones, PCs and TVs. You can

Donna May Ong (JEMBA 94-95) and her
husband Leonard are the proud parents of three boys – Jeremy
(6), Justin (4) and Gabriel (14 months).
Andrew Marshall (JEMBA 95-96) and
his wife Tomomi, celebrated the birth of their baby daughter Emi
Ikeda-Marshall on August 18, 2005. Andrew has also recently
joined BEA Systems in Hong Kong as General Counsel – Asia Pacific.
Francis Fung (JEMBA 96-97)
is the market risk manager at HSBC Markets (Asia) Limited in Hong
Kong.
Fermin Taruc (JEMBA 96-97) is now
a Managing Director at Gurango Software.
Jun Kabigting (JEMBA
00-01) and Tomoko Ishii (ICMP-2000S)
were married on May 15, 2004 at the Westin Philippine Plaza Hotel
in the Philippines.
Ying Leong (James) Ho (JEMBA
01-02) is the general manager, Hub Operations, Hong Kong for the
TNT Group.
Joshua Heller (CHEMBA 02-03) is General
Manager of Reva International, Ltd. in China and visited JAIMS in
Spring 2005.
Mark Masutomi and Kristina Hefter (both
JEMBA 03-04) visited JAIMS and were thrilled to have their photo
taken with former President Dr. Glenn Miyataki.
Pearl Wee (CHEMBA 02-03)
is the Asia Pacific manager at Rotary International in Chicago,
USA.
Rajesh Bhambani (JEMBA
03-04) married his wife, Anila, in July 2004.
Youngsik Ha (CHEMBA
03-04) and his wife, Hajin, are the proud parents of their baby
boy born on September 12, 2004.
Brandon Matsui (JEMBA 03-04)
accepted a job at BlackRock Financial Management and will be working
with Nomura Securities in their
Risk Management
Solutions division.
Joseph Ysasi (CHEMBA 03-04) is working
at Amer Cable in Southern Arkansas as an International Customer Service
Representative. He
is married to Rachel (Molina) Ysasi.
Hyun Soo Chung (CHEMBA
04-05) and his wife have one son who was born on September
10, 2004.
Trenton Fairbanks (CHEMBA 04-05) and
his wife, Ivy, now have two children, Owen and Anjieli.

Marsela Ibrahim (JMP 87-88)
is running a tourism company in Malaysia and would like to extend
her services to JAIMS alumni who are planning a visit to her beautiful

Sang Yong Rhee (JMP 90-91)
sold his mobile company, moved to L.A. and joined an investment
bank, Clemensen Capital Company. He and his wife have a son, Kenneth,
who was born on November 18, 2005.
